The holiday season is in full swing at Insert Human Here headquarters! I’m hoping to get the decorations up this weekend and my calendar is already full of festive activities throughout the month. I hope your holiday season is full of joy and also time for rest!
For designs this month, we have a classic Christmas scene with a cozy fireplace and tree and a darkly elegant floral design for all your December notecard needs. I’ve also included a bonus “Oh Deer” card with an adorable little forest scene. You can order these on the website here. I hope you enjoy the designs this month and all the opportunities to share a bit of hand-written joy with friends and family.
Wanna get creative with your cards this month? Find some ideas below.
Happy Holidays!

Note Ideas for December Dates |
2 - Bartender Appreciation Day - Drop a note to your favorite mixologist so they know you appreciate all their hard work! 4 - National Cookie Day - Bake some cookies (or buy, we don’t judge!) and drop them off to a neighbor with a note. Bonus points if you include the recipe on one of our recipe cards! 5 - Krampusnacht - Krampusnacht is celebrated every year across Germany, other European countries, and Australia. It occurs the night before the celebration of the Feast of St. Nicholas, a night when people dress up as the devil Krampus and chase naughty children through the streets. Truly the most metal of holidays. 8 - National Brownie Day - Brownies are my favorite, I recommend throwing some cherry pie filling on top. Once again, share the love and drop a note with the delivery. 9 - Christmas Card Day - Send out those cards! Good thing you’re got them ready, right? 12 - Gingerbread Decorating Day - I love decorating gingerbread houses, but I tend to buy them and kind of forget to do it. Maybe I’ll block out this date. 15 - Ugly Sweater Day - The more horrible, the better. Write a note commemorating the best ugly sweater in the office. 17-23 - Saturnalia - Saturnalia, held in mid-December, is an ancient Roman pagan festival honoring the agricultural god Saturn. Because of when the holiday occurred—near the winter solstice—Saturnalia celebrations are the source of many of the traditions we now associate with Christmas, such as wreaths, candles, feasting and gift-giving. 18-26 - Hanukkah - Hanukkah (Chanukah) is the Jewish eight-day, wintertime “festival of lights,” celebrated with a nightly menorah lighting, special prayers and fried foods. 21 - Winter Solstice / Yule - The longest night of the year. In Pagan myth Yule marks the journey of the Sun King to bring light into the world. The days following would gradually grow longer and lighter as the Sun King journeyed across the sky. Send a note wishing a happy new year of light and joy to your friendly neighborhood pagan. 23 - Festivus - The holiday “for the rest of us”. Air your grievances on a note and send it over to the target of your grievance, or burn it if you’re non-confrontational. 25 - Christmas - A time for family and friends! 26 - National Thank You Note Day - This should be the official Insert Human Here holiday. Enjoy! |
